Fragile case

Another chapter of semi-fictional fragmented narrative based on voyeuristic sound recordings from open windows during the night. In the video we follow a lo-fi quality sound track of a dialogue between a man and woman, speaking about solving their economic situation. Thanks to dividing the footage to the chapters and adding dramatic music, which quotes classic crimi movie soundtracks, we are watching abstract depiction of potencial preparation of crime. However Adam Hejduk is more interested in conceptual fragmentation of the narration than the topic of dialogue itself, the work could be understood also as a manifestation of manipulating the media image of crime or violence, the power of context and maybe also examination of our own prejudices. Installation prepared for OGV Jihlava presents video and a series of glass objects thematizing attributes of crime.
